A long design tradition
Zehnder Group can look back on a long tradition in radiator design, which has given the Group a unique know-how. The company began collaborating with renowned designers such as Le Corbusier and Mario Botta back in the 1960s. Today, it nurtures creative partnerships with many eminent industrial designers and artists.
Prime examples include design duo Perry King and Santiago Miranda, designers Paolo Schianchi and Claudio Colucci, and artist Christian Ghion, who designed the ripple-effect panel radiator Splash. The innovative design of our radiators has won many of them coveted design awards throughout Europe. In fact, Zehnder Group received its first design award as early as 1969.
Numerous other awards have since followed, including the Design Plus Award (Germany), the Janus de L'Industrie (France), the Premio Comfort & Design Award (Italy), the Red Dot Design Award (Germany), the Grandesign Etico International Award (Italy), the ADI Design (Italy), the Plus X Award (Germany) and the iF product design award (Germany).
Zehnder Group attaches special importance not only to functionality, but also to the aesthetic impact of its products. Development is always carried out by an interdisciplinary team. This 'think tank' of designers, product developers and brand experts oversees the entire product development process, from the market and product analysis and technical specification to the first designs and actual production.
This not only gives Zehnder Group products their characteristic style and innovative design, but also satisfies functional needs or offers an innovative extra benefit. Our bathroom radiators, for example, are also towel holders and warmers, while radiators for living spaces serve as design features in their own right. What's more, Zehnder Group radiators come in a wide and balanced colour palette, which allows customers to choose from various categories.
