Gränichen (Switzerland), 8 March 2019 – The Zehnder Group (SIX: ZEHN), a leading international provider of complete solutions for a healthy indoor climate, acquires Dutch company Recair, headquartered in Waalwijk. This move strengthens its market share in heat exchangers for residential buildings in Europe.
2019 is marking another year in which the Zehnder Group is pursuing its strategy of acquisitions in the European ventilation sector. This was demonstrated on 7 March 2019, when it signed the contract for purchasing the full complement of shares in Recair, based in Waalwijk (Netherlands). Founded in 2000, Recair develops, produces and sells energy-efficient heat exchangers that are primarily designed for use in residential ventilation units. Its highly efficient production methods, product expertise and strength in innovation make Recair an ideal addition to the Zehnder Group. The company employs around 30 people and achieved sales in the region of EUR 6 million in 2018.
Recair is to be operated as an independent company within the Zehnder Group, with all of its employees retaining their posts and the two company founders continuing to provide assistance. The acquisition strengthens Zehnder Group's leading role in the application of heat exchangers for residential buildings in Europe.
